A Bit Delayed

Patrick informs the audience of his and Grace’s impending move to a new home, while also telling George of the odd thought process of his current homeowner. Patrick then makes the case for why he wants the podcast to also be available in video format. George tells us about his experience seeing recent guest Rick “Wind” Herrera’s homecoming show in New York City.

George begins catching Patrick up on what he has been up to since they’ve last spoken. George details his friend (and recent guest of the show) Niki’s recent wedding, and how the reception featured a variety of entertainment. Patrick and George trade notes for what will (and will not) happen at Patrick’s wedding and reception. If you’re planning a wedding, this is a great episode to get some ideas from!

George is elsewhere this week, but Patrick is here with our guest, Lou Moon! Lou is a Phoenix based comedian who can also be seen with Patrick on Zen Comedy, as well as his own debut comedy album titled “Lou.” Lou tells us about his first time onstage as a young child, his original goal of being a novelist, before leaning into his love of comedy. Lou takes us through the highs and lows of his early days as a comedian, and how a chance encounter led to the eventual recording of “Lou.”

Patrick & George jump right into it with another discussion of Generative AI, regarding signage George saw in Seaside Park, NJ. They then discuss the Challenge Coins being given out at Knoebels Amusement Park, which sets Patrick off on another tangent about how insulting it is to use AI for something to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. George and Patrick then begin to discuss an issue, both in the veterans community, as well as the world at large.

Patrick & George briefly discuss last week’s episode, and then discuss the podcast being on YouTube versus publishing the video version. They then discuss how the podcast is the peek behind the curtain, a lá wrestling film “Beyond the Mat,” and show “WWE Unreal.” Patrick & George also discuss how one can bet on something that is scripted/predetermined. Patrick then catches up George on his experience at the Big Tomato Comedy Festival in San Diego. Patrick then shares where the Second Place Champions almost performed at…before we cut the episode for time. The rest of the conversation will be aired during next week’s episode!

Since George was feeling under the weather last week, Patrick is joined by his fiancée Grace for this episode! This episode was recorded in San Diego, CA, both in their hotel room and on the road back to Arizona. They recap their separate but similar experiences of this past weekend; Grace attended ImprovCon, and Patrick performed in the inaugural Big Tomato Comedy Festival! We hear how they both got to nerd out about their respective comedy styles and spend time with their peers and mentors for an unforgettable weekend neither will soon forget!

George is a little under the weather while Patrick tries to stay healthy. Patrick tells us about the successful production of Roll for Charisma; the first one he and Grace produced as a duo. George learns of a term they cannot use in their show, which leads to a discussion about TV, movies, what you can and cannot say in them, and the newfound importance of physical media
